Police bass commissioner, Holomo Molibeli is hardly under the investigation by the Directorate on corruption and Economic Offences (DCEO) for money laundering.
Lesotho Police Staff Association (LEPOSA) wrote a letter to the DCEO office asking for the investigation in Molibeli money laundering which involves M323 499. Later it has been reported that the DCEO office is processing the investigative process.
Molibeli told the other local media yesterday that he is aware of the accusations leveled against me and he said he had recognized this circulating on the social media platforms and he cannot respond to them because he knows about the money in his capacity as an office not as a person.
He further said the money was from subscription fees that are deducted from salaries of members of LEPOSA to their association collection wallet.
Commissioner Molibeli has been at loggerheads with Leposa for the previous. LEPOSA accuses Molibeli of the heavy-handedness. He said the accusations that are leveled against him were not incorrect and were meant to defame his name.
