FACTORY WORKERS STRIKE FURTHER CONTINUES

SMC recognized the group of workers standing along the main streets with unhappy faces, waiting for the gazette to be officially released by the government of Lesotho.

They seemed to block the roads again and insulting the government that they are not recognized and the government does not want to hear from them.

“We cannot proceed with work before a gazette is officially released at the parliament. And we will stay forever because we are nothing in Lesotho, especially we the factories in Lesotho we always fight when we want the salary increment” shouted one in the scene.

“We don’t know what we have done in Lesotho, they used to come and campaign when they want us to vote them, now they are elected and they cannot recognize us. Should we further vote them “they sadly said.

“They did not require our opinions when they demand the fuel allowance (5000) and that is too much compared to us. They did not strike to receive their gazette, but now see where we are, we have a full week staying at home striking” they said

Monday, late afternoon some workers went through the factory premises to check whether there are others who went to work and they wanted to overtake and hijack them as they are from the work.
