The department of health in Northern Cape has answered for its decision to vaccinate MP’s under the age of 60 years.
The department defended its decisions that the members of parliament are in close contact with the people and so are part of the vaccination programme. It also said it vaccinated them to promote vaccination hesitancy, thanking all the leaders that took part.
Opposition parties have been throwing fire at the department for allowing politicians to jump the vaccination queue. The department maintained that the decision was extended to other sectors as well, including cultural and religious leaders.
