Lesotho Football Association (LEFA) held a basic referee training course for women at Bambatha Ts’ita. A 5 days’ course aims to teach female referees about the laws of the game and how the pitch should look like before the game kicks off, minimum number of seven players in the field and maximum of 11.
“We learn about physical fitness, interval training, weight training.” said Tlholohelo Khalane.
Tomorrow the trainees will undergo the physical test and sprinting test. More ladies are urged to join refereeing because officiating comes with lots of enjoyable responsibilities and also football unites.
The course includes 30 ladies and Puleng Mahamo together with Selloane Moshane led the referees.
