Andrew Harvard shared and amazing snap on Facebook in the #ImStaying group and it didn’t take long for people to notice. The photo racked up thousands of reactions and hundreds of comments from social media users who simply loved the picture.
Some of the comments were: “Through your pictures my love I get to see all the beauty that surrounds us. #Talented” said Irene Padayachee and Ann Mary Gordon said “Amazing how God can make dust look so beautiful- He can and does that with us!”
Andrew shared some technical information on the photo such as shutter speed which was four seconds and that he’d used a tripod firmly mounted on the sand. He used a shutter release cable that allowed him to take the photo without having to touch the camera and disturb the composition.

He and the group of photography enthusiasts usually go to the beach on weekends and when time allows; Andrew pursues photography as a hobby. He took the picture at 06:22 hours as the sun started to rise over the ocean, he was close to uShaka Marine World.
Andrew started taking his hobby of photography seriously at the end of 2012. He often spontaneously chooses the subjects for his photographs. This was also the case with the amazing sunrise.
