SIX MEN ARE SUSPECTED STEALING 500 SASSA CARDS

The social grant cards valuing R1million have been stolen by suspected six men at Post Office branch Manager in De Aer in the Northern Cape.

The hawks have appealed to the public to assist them to find those suspected six men, or any one of them. They say it is with the public’s cooperation they will catch the suspected men. The suspects are reported forced the branch manager to open the post office after hours and stole 500 social security agency cards.

Nomthandazo Mnisi , the Provincial Hawks Spokesperson said the suspects approached the branch manager at his residence where manager lives.

“it is alleged that in February 2020, six men armed unknown suspects approached the post office Branch Manager at his residence and demanded the keys. They drove with him to the office and forced him to unlock and hand over 500 Sassa cards with an estimated value of R1million.” Mnisi stated.
