The prospect of having celebrities in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has certainly been seen in a positive light as of late. Shaquille O’Neal and Mike Tyson’s appearances have been well received on the show. Now it seems another celebrity who is very familiar with pro wrestling could be appearing in the company.
Cody Rhodes and actor Stephen Amell certainly have a lot of history as they have met up several times since their first encounter at 2015’s WWE SummerSlam. Stephen Amell also competed at All In where he faced off against Christopher Daniels.
While speaking to Cmicbook.com, Cody was asked about the possibility of Stephen making his inspiring return and appearing in AEW somewhere down the line. Cody stated that in the past he had talks with Stephen about a return but his acting career did not let it happen.
Cody Rhodes then claimed that he definitely sees Stephen making his way to AEW in the future to compete in at least one match. With AEW continuing to become more popular and even more when it will move to TBS next year, perhaps fans might get to see Stephen team up with Cody for a program eventually.
