UNFPA PLEDGES TO WOMEN

United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) country Representative Dr. Marc Derveeuw handed over dignity kits to the Prime Minister of Lesotho Dr. Moeketsi Majoro’s office yesterday on the event which was held in Maseru.

The pledges contained the sanitary napkins, brushes and soap. All the items are said to be distributed by the Disaster management Authority (DMA) to vulnerable young Women and girls that are impacted by COVID-19 pandemic and the global climate change.

Dr. Dereeuw said on the occasion the 900 dignity kits have been designed locally to help and restore the dignity of women especially on emergency situations.

“We have been working together with DMA for several time and our main mission is to help the women and help them to meet their needs” added Dr. Derveeuw.
