WOMAN IN HOT WATER FOR FAKING KIDNAPPING

A South African woman who faked a kidnapping on May 19 is to appear before the Protea Magistrate court on Friday.

The 28 year old tweeted that she has been kidnapped and kept in the boot of her car, She claimed that the kidnappers missed one of the phones she had on her as she kept updating her location asking for help.

The Gauteng police are said to have set up a search party of detectives and members from Crime Intelligence as soon as they were alerted of her case, she was later found to be save in her home.

She is currently facing charges of perjury, defeating the ends of Justice and fraud according to Police, Mavela Masondo. “This was subsequently corroborated by the woman’s confession that she was never kidnapped. Police confiscated the car that she alleged was hijacked, and her two cell phones including the one she claimed was taken by the hijackers.”

Her neighbour also commended on the woman’s Facebook post that claimed she is kidnapped at the time the country was going up and down searching for her that her car was still in her yard.

Unfortunately the prank went too far and ended up including the enforcement of the law, now she has to answer for her deeds.
